Please share a memory of Bobbie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Bobbie Jean (Allen) Dangerfield was born on December 27, 1941, in Brookshire, Texas to Bob Allen and Revordah (Bolden) Allen.  She was the 2nd of five children.   She graduated in 1957 from Booker T. Washington High School in Houston,

TX.  She attended Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, TX from a young age and later joined Red Oak Grove Baptist Church in Ashdown, AR in 1985 where she remained a member until her death.

She was united in holy matrimony, to George Dangerfield in Houston, TX on April 27th, 1985.

Bobbie Jean, more affectionately known as “Ms.  B”, was the proud owner of Ms. B’s Salon. She was an astonishing role model to many young women and was known for her great advice and genuine love and concern for others.  She has

been described as a classy, loving woman, whose light shined bright as a beacon for others.  When she wasn’t mentoring and guiding others, she spent quality time with her husband, George.  They thoroughly enjoyed their weekend

“Honeymoon Dates”.  Every Saturday they would often travel to different cities visiting quaint shops for small antique treasures.  Bobbie Jean had a passion for refurbishing antique furniture which she frequently used to decorate her home.

She also loved planting flowers, her favorites were roses and ivy plants.

Bobbie Jean was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Eva (Candy) Allen, two brothers, Lawrence and Raymond Allen, and one son, Harold Long.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her devoted husband George Dangerfield of Ashdown, AR, daughter, Cecelia (Johnnie) Johnson (Long) of Houston, TX, and son, Preston Long of Phoenix AZ.  Seven grandchildren, three great-

grandchildren; and a host of bonus children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
