Obituary of Vergie Cannon

Vergie Cannon, 74, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Cannon was retired, and she was a member of Atlanta Street Church of Christ. Her parents, Veodis and Everlora Moore, preceded her in death. To cherish her memory, she leaves her husband, Rayford G. Cannon, Jr., of Texarkana, Texas; three sons, David Lamar Moore, Victor Renay Burns, and Mark Anthony Burns, of Texarkana, Texas; four daughters, Sandra Ray Cannon Williams of Garland, Texas, Virginia Elaine Burns Cotton (Donnie) of Dallas, Texas, Patricia Anne Burns Lacombe (Larry) of Los Angeles, California, and Eva Mae Burns Hopkins of Texarkana, Texas; one brother, Calvin "Tang" Blackwell of Texarkana; fourteen grandchildren, Tory Noble, Sharonda Gamble, Willie Pete Williams, Jr., Angela Denise Cotton, Brandi Marie Neal, Whitney Shanel Neal, Donnie Anzal Cotton, Decorian Lamar Moore, Dequon Moore, Cory Duberry, Nastasha Burns, Ja'Markus Burns King, Herman Burns, Mark Anthony Burns, Jr.; several great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. We will honor her life with a closed casket service at 12:00 noon, Friday, January 25, 2013 at Atlanta Street Church of Christ in Texarkana, Arkansas, where Bro. Steve Williams will offficiate. The visitation will immediately precede the service, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, Friday, January 25 2013.
