Obituary of Ethel Thurston

Ethel L. Thurston, 85, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 in Texarkana, Texas. Ms. Ethel was a member of the New Oak Grove Baptist Church, where she sang in the Choir. She was an elevator operator for sixteen years. Her loved ones who preceded her in death are her parents, Mark and Addie Thurston and four sisters, Laura Hooper, Carrie Wilson, Hester Runnels, and Lucille Boons. To cherish her memory, she leaves two brothers, Calvin Thurston of Bakersfield, California and Jim Thurston of Texarkana, Texas; two sisters, Lorene Allen of Texarkana, Texas and Elriece Thurston of Texarkana, Texas; a special friend, Reuben Butler of Texarkana, Texas; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
