Obituary of Rosa Taylor

Rosa Taylor, 85, of Texarkana, Texas, went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 19, 2014.
Mrs. Taylor was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, and she was a Certified Nurse's Aide.
Rosa accepted Christ at a young age, and as a youth she sang with her sisters at churches. They were known as the "Shine Sisters." She later moved to Texarkana, Texas, where she became a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. In 1946, Rosa Shine was united with C. Willie Taylor. She was a devoted, loving mother who loved singing gospel music, reading her bible, and she loved the Lord. Her home going was July 19, 2014.
Rosa was preceded in death by her son, Donald Ray Taylor; sister, Dorothy Lively; brother, Dan Clark Jr; and brother, James L. Shine.
She leaves behind to cherish her life and memories five children: Charles Taylor, Catherine Taylor, Joyce Taylor, Roy (Tonya) Shine, Delores Taylor; two sisters: Tinye Roulach and Aline Combs; and one brother, Joe Clark. Also, she will be remembered by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
