Shonterra Sharlette Marks-Owens, 43, of Texarkana, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, in Dallas.
Mrs. Marks-Owens was born April 26, 1971, in Ashdown, Ark. She was a paraprofessional at TASD, a member of Sisters in Christ and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, James Owens Jr. of Texarkana; five daughters, Teiryni Marks, Jhori Owens and Jakera Owens of Texarkana, Chaka Denson of Dallas and Jamie Owens of Little Rock; five brothers, Michael Marks, Frank Gibson and Wayne Gibson of Ashdown, Scott Gulley of Texarkana and Keith Marks of Aurora, Ill.; six sisters, Irma Jean Martin of Sugar Grove, Ill., Angela Gulley and Letha Mae Winfrey of Ashdown, Judy Jones of Woodbridge, Va., Karen Marks of Texarkana and Verkita White of Arkadelphia, Ark.; four grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Lonoke Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Gulley officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Ashdown, under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Eleventh Street Baptist Church. The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at Lonoke Baptist Church.
