Obituary of Vasteen Runnels

Vasteen Runnels Jr., 42, of Texarkana, Texas, departed this life Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at a local hospital. Mr. Runnels was born Aug. 17, 1972, in Wichita, Kan. He was a baker. Survivors include one son, Aaron Leaks Runnels of Texarkana; two daughters, Sonya Leaks and Dian Marie Runnels of Texarkana; his mother, Eva Mae Runnels of Texarkana; two sisters, Janice M. and Danny Hamler of Texarkana; one grandchild, Zaylah Leaks; and a number of other other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Richardson Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. A.T. Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
