Obituary of Lester Gulley

Lester Gulley, 55, of Ogden, Arkansas, departed this life Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in a Texarkana hospital. Mr. Gulley was born Aug. 4, 1959, in Ashdown, Arkansas. He was a heavy equipment mechanic, a member of Evangelist Temple Love Ministries and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Toni Gulley of Ogden; three sons, Charles Owens of Austin and Roderick Starks and LaVonderick Starks of Texarkana; one daughter, Sabrita Gulley of Chicago; his parents, Vivian Gulley Duncan of Ashdown and Horace Mixon of Los Angeles; two brothers, James Duncan of Oklahoma City and John Mixon of Vallejo, Calif.; nine sisters, Iola Faye Jones and Jeweline Williams of Ashdown, Gloria Dean Gulley, Bertha Woodard and Roylean Mixon of San Francisco, Evelyn Curtis of Richmond, Calif., and Martha Mixon-Hardy, Mary Mixon and Patsy Mixon of Vallejo, Calif.; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Evangelist Temple Love Ministries with the Rev. Anthony Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
