Obituary of Wilbert McCoy

Wilbert Faye McCoy, 65, of Texarkana, Texas, departed this life Tuesday, September 22, 2015 in Texarkana. Mrs. McCoy was born May 6, 1950, in Texarkana. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Orange Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles McCoy; and one son, Isreal Hunt. Survivors include three daughters, Kim Lafayette of Ozan, Ark., Sharon Griffin of Dallas and Cicley McCoy of Texarkana; five brothers, Travis Matthews and Carl Layton of Texarkana and James Matthews, Ronald Layton and Johnny Matthews; four sisters, Rose Lacy of Washington, Ark., Lesia Floyd and Belinda Turner of Hope, Ark., and Denise Piggee; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Mount Orange Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Leslie Brembry officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Online registration is at richardsonhillfuneralhome.com.
