Precious Life of Mattie Jones

Mattie Lee Jones Featherson was born April 19, 1927 in Lewisville Arkansas. She was a housewife most of her life who loved her family dearly. Mattie was a loving and peaceful soul, she loved singing and reading her bible, but never was given the chance to really sing before the people. 1980 this would all change, Mattie moved to Texarkana with her daughter Alma Ruth Arnold. She attended church every Sunday at Greater Shiloh COGIC under Pastor Tudman. This is the place where it all began. Mattie known as mother jones sang and worshiped all the time she loved her Shiloh family who gave her the chance to be who she was. Later down the road Mattie moved to Dallas Texas and joined the Potter’s House of Dallas under the great Bishop Thomas Dexter Jakes. She gained many friends and was loved by many, she later moved further North in Dallas joining the Potter’s house North under Pastor Sheryl Brady and Bishop Brady. Oh how they loved Mother Jones and the entire potters house family. Although Mother Mattie has parted this life she has left something that we often rarly see to keep a smile on your face and always keep on keeping on no matter what comes your way.
