Asberry Fortson Jr 71 years of age of Ogden Arkansas was born to the late Mr. Asberry Fortson Sr, and Mrs. Stella Fortson on January 23,1948 He departed this earthly life on January 12,2020 in Dallas, TX. He was a faithful member of the Hickory Hill Baptist Church where he served as President of the Male Chorus until his health declined. Mr. Asberry Fortson was a devoted Christian, very kind-hearted person and loved the Lord. He graduated with the Little River Training School Class of 1965. Mr. Fortson retired from Domtar Paper Company LLC in Ashdown, Arkansas after thirty plus years of service. Mr Asberry Fortson was an US Army Vietnam Veteran, and a proud member of the American Legion and The NAACP. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; three brothers; Harrison Fortson, Johnny Fortson, and Freddy Fortson six sisters: Eunice Belcher, Bessie Baggett, Maple Fortson, Ella Mae Clopton, Minnie Fortson, and Vinnie Lee Rhone: Brother in law: Eddie Williams Son in law: Joe Lee Jackson two grandsons: Derrick Smith Jr and Nazir Smith He leaves to mourn his passing: 4 SONS: Ashton Bishop (Memphis TN) Warren Fortson (Dallas TX) Demetrice and Summer Fortson (Chicago IL) Taurean Fortson (Dallas TX) 5 DAUGHTERS : Keich and James Willis (Balch Springs TX) Natasha Jetton (Seattle WA) Nicole Robinson Jackson, (Mesquite TX) Quinnetta and Derrick Smith, (Texarkana TX) Alexis Owens (Texarkana AR) 2 SISTERS: Jimmie Williams, (Texarkana TX) and Jo Ann Fortson, (Chicago IL) 11 GRANDCHILDREN Diamond, Pharrell, Noah, Braylon,Christopher,Keyshawn, Kydedrion, Demetrice Jr,Savannah, Mason, Leiah
