Creating an environment of acceptance, relevant services, and trusting God with the results
Dear Jean and All the Family,
We were all praying and hoping for Raymond to live, but God decided in His sovereign wisdom to take him home. The announcement saddened our hearts, the grief gripped us, and the silence filled the room. Yet, we know that he is in better place and in better hands. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints" (Psalm 116:15).
Raymond always had a willing and good spirit with us as he preached and taught the Word of God. His character of humility and soft spirit added great value to the effectiveness of his messages and lifestyle. And Jean, we clearly saw the love and devotion you two had for one another. Thanks for the needed and powerful example.
As a Church family, we are extremely proud and thankful to God for giving us Raymond. “In all things give thanks for it is the will of God” (1Thessalonians 5:18). Raymond gave us great sermons, a friendly brother, hopeful heart, loving example, faithful husband, and a man who cared deeply for His Lord. So, we now look forward to the "great gathering" where the Lord will take us all home with Him. Paul puts it like this, “We who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord” (1Thessalonians 4:17).
Jean, please know that you and the family are in our prayers and if we can do anything to help, please let us know. And Raymond, keep the light on because we are all coming home.

For a short time I had the pleasure of caring for Mr Colston as his nurse during the time of his brief illness. It was as if our paths crossed in a previous life. He was pleasant, a gentle giant and from our many conversations he shared openly his love for Christ and spoke highly of his beautiful wife and family. I’ve never met a patient that touch my heart as MR Colston had. My heart hurt to learn we lost such a great soul so soon. Praying comfort and peace to the family during such time.
God is pleased and Heaven is rejoicing. Take your rest King
