Frances Davis, 103, of Texarkana, Texas, departed this life, Saturday, September 22, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Davis was born March 6, 1909 in Hooks, Texas. She was a Cook, and she was a member of Atlanta Street Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Davis; mother, Mayola Burnett; father, Joe Roberts; two brothers: Monroe Burnett and James Roberts; four sisters: Delia Daniels, Susie Johnson, Estell Gooden, and Lee Rena Lewis.
To cherish her memory, she leaves: two sisters, Rebecca Jones of Phoenix, Arizona and Donie McCalvin of Missouri; four nephews: Chester Jones of Phoenix, Arizona, Earnest Gooden of Texarkana, Texas, Obie Daniels of Denver, Colorado, Willie B. Lewis of Texarkana, Texas; six nieces: Gloria Reed of Denver, Colorado, Bertha Burns of Texarkana, Texas, Willie C. Lewis of Texarkana, Texas, Cassie Rivers of Texarkana, Texas, Jennifer Jones of Phoenix, Arizona, and Irene Jones of Texarkana, Texas; one great-nephew, Anthony Jones of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Davis' visitation will be 3 p.m.-5 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2012 at Richardson Hill Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Atlanta Street Church of Christ with Bro. Steve Williams officiating and Bro. George Jackson giving the eulogy. She will be buried at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens in Wake Village, Texas.
