Some twenty-five years ago I met Dr. Brewster at BME State Congress, he was a humble man then and when we last met in Surfur Springs at our last State Congress, he was humble and gracious then. Dr Brewster will be not only missed by his family, but all who knew him. Brewster family, he touched lives. Be strong in the Lord's love and peace.

Pastor Mayfield Brewster had such an impact on my life. When I was a child he became the pastor of my home church, New Hope Baptist Church of Texarkana, Texas. He brought such a spark to our congregation. We grew tremendously as a church and Pastor Brewster led us to grow in our faith. After graduating from college he performed our wedding ceremony over 46 years ago. I will never forget that the day after the wedding when we went to give him money for performing the ceremony he said we did not owe him anything. He was just that kind of thoughtful man of God. Since that time he has eulogized both of my parents, as well as two of my brothers. I am so grateful to have known this giant in the ministry. Thank you Pastor Brewster for a job well done. You can rest now because you are going where the wicked shall cease from troubling and the weary shall be at rest, and all the saints of the ages of going to seat at his feet and be blessed.

This one hit home I have known this family all of my life. I remember Mrs Faye and my mom being best of friends. And when I was young I would go to church sometime with Cassandra.
