Obituary of Ernest Vernon Edward Fowler
Mr. Ernest V.E. Fowler was born on December 18, 1950 in Austin, Texas to the parentage of Harold Eugene Fowler Sr. and Ernestine Elder. He was the second of eleven children born to this union. He accepted Christ and was baptized into fellowship of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in 1964 by the late Rev. J.J. Dixon. He received his formal education in the Austin Public School system and graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1969. Mr. Fowler enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1970 where he served in the Vietnam War. He was later honorably discharged where he proudly served his country and moved back to Austin, Texas. He was very handy when it came to working, as with his last job at MCI a telecommunications company where he exceled to the top salesman. After leaving MCI he moved to Texarkana, Texas where he became affectionately known to many as "Unc". He was loved by many and known for his infectious personality that included many antics, such as wearing animal hats in the middle of hot summers. If you knew him you could not resist to love him, there was not anything that he would not do for anyone and will be truly missed. He is preceded in death by his brother True Fowler (Harold). He leaves to cherish both his parents, daughter LaKiza Fowler, Granddaughter Taizia Sibley, 3 brothers Mark Fowler, Kenneth Fowler, Kevin Fowler, 6 sisters Haroldette Miller, Deborah Jones, Paula (Roy) Harrison, Diane (Michael) Johnson, Lori (Cleve) Dillard, Elaine Fowler and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
